This is a list, linked where appropriate, of all the places I belong. I kinda get around, in case you can't tell.
- Amazon.com: I'm a reviewer at this mega-popular bookselling site. This link takes you to my profile page, where you can see my reviews, comments, and recommendations.
- Animorphs on LiveJournal: This is the LiveJournal Animorphs community, where one of my favorite kids' book series is often discussed and picked apart and argued over. Much fun.
- Anti-Shur'tugal on LiveJournal: This is the LJ-based discussion group where anti-fans of the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini discuss their mockery of the series. I don't post often but comment a lot.
- Asexuality on LiveJournal: This LJ-based community is devoted to the discussion of asexuality and all things related. I'm not much of a joiner on asexuality-related stuff, but I found this group talking about me here and there on Google, so I decided to participate. :)
- AVEN: The Asexual Visibility and Education Network is the most popular gathering hub for asexual people who want to meet or discuss issues. I finally joined it even though the above description about the LJ group applies here too.
- Comixpedia: Webcomic Authors: I've got a profile for being the author of Negative One.
- DeviantART: I participate at this art community uploading some of my drawings and commenting on/friending other artists.
- Drink and Draw Social Club, Tampa: I'm a member of this local artists' club. We get together about once a month, drink (though I drink coffee), and draw whatever we want. Normally we meet at The Globe in St. Petersburg, but the dates are established as they come at the convenience of the members.
- eBay: Sometimes I buy stuff through here, like much of the rest of the world. Not terribly exciting, but yes, eBay is a great place to find unusual items for cheap.
- Etsy: I am not an Etsy seller, but some of my friends are, and I have bought stuff through the site occasionally.
- Everything2: This site has a lot more personality than Wikipedia (and I believe it pre-dated it), but this is a user-written encyclopedia and I have contributed over 500 articles (mainly recipes, song lyrics, and Pagan trivia).
- Facebook: I'm very active here communicating with my friends and playing silly games.
- Feeding America: I give to this domestic charity to help with hunger-related problems in our backyard.
- Flickr: Photo-sharing site where I sometimes make my photos redundant if another person who primarily uses the site wants to connect with me. I prefer using my own site for photos, but it's good to have a presence.
- 43Things: A site where you can list your goals and discuss your progress toward achieving them, and also cheer other people on or give advice.
- Goodreads: I review all the books I read on this site, as well as keeping track of books I intend to read and am currently reading. You can read hundreds of reviews and ratings by me here. I am also a member of Goodreads Librarians.
- Homescan: I'm part of the Nielsen Homescan Consumer Panel and have been since sometime in 2004. It means I have to scan the items I buy and transmit my data to the panel once a week. It helps with market research and I earn points that I can buy stuff with.
- Humane Society: I give to the animal-rights-related charity often enough that I'm considered a member.
- IMVU: This avatar-based chat program is a lot of fun, and I had fun customizing my digital version of me to talk to others with. I don't have much time for chatting, but you can find me here occasionally.
- Kiva: This is a microfinance company which makes it possible to loan money to struggling people, often disadvantaged people in poor countries. I make loans when I can afford to, and if the borrower pays the money back, you can just relend it to another borrower or withdraw it at any time. Also, my sister works for Kiva!
- LiveJournal: This is my main online blog, and I am VERY active here. Find me and friend me if you like.
- Mangahelpers Forums: I have been known to discuss Eyeshield 21, my favorite manga, at this site. Not so much now that it's through being released. You can't see my profile through this direct link unless you are logged into the site yourself.
- MySpace: This site is a social networking must, since not everyone wants to use the newer, swankier Facebook. I've been on here a long time but don't use it regularly. I'll regularly respond to requests and mail there though.
- OKCupid: I use this for social networking, but it's mainly a dating site. Non-dating profiles are allowed, obviously, and I've not had a ton of trouble over it. The matching algorithm is genius; I've met tons of great people through it who really are compatible with me!
- Oxfam International: I give to this charity when I can to help underprivileged communities. They work with more than a dozen organizations to help directly, and I like their style.
- Polyphasic Sleep Google Group: I was once a hardcore equihexaphasic sleeper. Figure that one out without reading our group! Being a polyphasic sleeper means that you sleep more than once a day, usually with the result of sleeping less overall. I spent more than a year on a schedule of six twenty-minute naps a day (a total of two hours' sleep), but now that I'm a more moderate polyphaser, I just check in occasionally with these guys.
- Shelfari: Book-related site where I have reviewed hundreds of books and posted whether I own them or not.
- SingSnap: Online karaoke where I perform on video.
- Tomgeeks Forums: I participate in webcomic-related female-positive webcomic nonsense here.
- The Webcomic List Forums: I'm a member and occasionally discuss webcomics with other creators and fans.
- Witchvox: The Witches' Voice is sort of like the Pagan MySpace. It's got social networking for Pagans as well as tons of useful articles and links. This link takes you to my profile.
- Yahoo!: I maintain a profile there because I do have the messenger, though you really have to ask me to meet you at a particular time to ever see me on it. I don't use it regularly.
- YouTube: Video-sharing site where I'm very active. I post singing videos, asexuality awareness videos, and the occasional stupid thing. You can see my profile, browse my videos, and subscribe/friend if you wish.
